The Discord change covered in the Yusuf İpek channel’s technology report aims to make conversations in large public communities discoverable on the web. The official October 27 announcement applies to discoverable servers with at least 1,000 members whose administrators have enrolled them in Server Discovery.
Server pages from November 16
All these servers will have a Server Web Page from November 16, 2026. Automatic summaries of conversations in public channels can also appear on these pages. The summaries will focus on active conversations from that date onward.

A separate, gradual rollout for messages
Selected public-channel messages will gradually start appearing on server pages and in web searches from mid-December. Earlier messages will not be shown under this rollout. Usernames and profile images will not accompany the messages; private servers, direct messages and group direct messages are excluded.
Controls for members and administrators
Members will be able to turn off visibility for their own messages through data and privacy settings. Administrators can choose participating channels or exclude all of them through Web Presence. Discord excludes teen users from message display entirely. The member-message setting will be off by default in the EU, United Kingdom, Canada, Brazil, Australia and South Korea. In the video, the Yusuf İpek channel views the change as bringing Discord closer to forums’ advantage in searchability.
