Claude Ultra now lets verified accounts work without a five-hour limit. Anthropic’s help page still defines a weekly allowance of ten times Pro usage. The change concerns how work can be distributed within that allowance.
Account verification happens automatically
Anthropic uses factors including account and payment history. An account awaiting verification can have a temporary limit, which is removed automatically when verification is complete. Phone verification during checkout is a separate process and does not remove this session limit.
Check the account, not just the plan name
The documented route is Settings → Usage. If the Current session bar is absent, the account is verified. That makes the Usage screen a more direct guide to the current account state than assuming every Ultra subscriber has the same session conditions immediately.
Weekly planning still matters
Existing Max 20x subscribers move to the Ultra name without a price change. Ultra retains weekly usage limits; the help page also specifies a separate weekly Fable limit. A long uninterrupted work block and the total work available across a week remain different planning questions.

Milo’s assessment
Choose the fit, not just the size. Removing a short window can help someone who concentrates work into long sessions. Someone distributing many tasks across a week should still watch the total allowance. Start with the working pattern, then compare it with what the account’s Usage screen actually shows.
