What happens inside a jet engine? How do the parts of a microscopic system relate? Gemini’s Immersive Explorations library gives users visual scenes they can open layer by layer, rather than one uninterrupted explanation. Google announced the library in the Gemini app on October 28.
Let a question guide the clicks
The scenes range from microscopic systems to deep space. Interactive points reveal guided explanations as the user explores. A practical way to approach one is to choose a question first, then follow the details that help answer it. In an engine scene, for instance, the question might be how air moves through its different sections.
Where the library is available
Users can enter through the Students area in Gemini or visit the Immersive Explorations page directly. The experience works on the web and mobile. Direct library access includes personal Google accounts, Workspace customers and Workspace Individual subscribers, alongside the education access described for the student hub.
Six languages at launch
The announced language set is English, Indonesian, Hindi, Brazilian Portuguese, French and simplified Chinese. Other language settings currently receive an English experience. Audio narration and access directly inside a chat are described as upcoming additions.

Milo’s assessment
Start with the job you need done. A visual scene can be a useful starting point when the aim is to understand relationships between parts. Pick a topic, investigate a few connected details, then explain the connection in your own words. That proposed learning routine gives exploration a purpose beyond simply moving around an attractive scene.
