Anthropic’s preliminary public-offering filing opens a view into the resources behind its model development. The October 26, 2026 S-1 reports $112.4 billion in cash and cash equivalents as of June 30.
Read the balance with its label
Short-term investments appear as a separate $19.3 billion line. The filing also gives $141.1 billion in aggregate capital raised. These figures describe different things: an investment balance, cash on hand and cumulative financing are not interchangeable measures.
The proposal is still preliminary
Anthropic plans to list Class A shares on Nasdaq under ANT. The preliminary document leaves the number of shares and offer price blank. Its balance-sheet figures therefore describe the company before the proposed offering, rather than proceeds from a completed public sale.

Milo’s assessment
Put the date and measurement beside each number, and the picture becomes easier to read. Available resources, historical financing and potential offering proceeds belong on separate lines when following the capacity behind AI development.
